Health Recipe: The Yellow Yoda

This recipe was created for someone prescribed daily turmeric for its tonic effect and numerous health benefits. Stress being a greater threat to health and longevity than alcohol, in the case of this patient, cider (or beer) was added to the recipe as a relaxant; as well as, to increase patient fidelity to his health regiment. The choice of cider or beer offers a bit of variation in this prescription that must be imbibed each day, preferably before noon.

Ingredients


1 pint Scottish or Irish hard apple or pear cider or beer. (6%-10% alcohol content is ideal)


1 soupspoon honey


100 grams of fresh ginger root


3 teaspoons of dried turmeric


1 teaspoon of powdered cayenne pepper


1 lemon, juiced


Method


Extract juice from ginger and blend with juice of 1 lemon.

Whisk the turmeric and cayenne with the ginger/lemon juice for 60 seconds.


Stir in the honey.


Pour mixture into a pint glass and add cider or beer on top.


Drink and relax. Breathe, be happy.
