Under the direction of Senior Winemaker Georgetta Dane, the 2012 International Women’s Wine Competition Best Woman Winemaker, Chloe® Wine Collection includes the following exquisite wines:
Monterey County Rosé
Sonoma County Chardonnay
Valdadige DOC Pinot Grigio
Monterey County Pinot Noir
California North Coast blend, Red No. 249.
This first vintage of 2015 Chloe Rosé is made primarily from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from prizedMonterey County vineyards. The grapes are night-harvested at 22-23 degrees Brix and slowly fermented at 52 degrees Fahrenheit to maintain the expressive aromas and natural acidity of the fruit. Chloe Rosé is produced using direct to pressing method to achieve its distinctive color and flavor.
This dry rosé elegantly showcases subtle aromas of strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, and crushed dried tea leaves. With its lively acidity and creamy mouthfeel, Chloe Rosé pairs well with food and the screw cap closure (unique for the category) ensures its bright flavors, while also allowing for entertaining with ease. The delicate Alsatian-style bottle shape reflects the ethereal flavor profile, while the faceted punt highlights the ballet slipper pink color.
After only two years in market, Chloe is experiencing exponential growth, earning IMPACT “Hot Prospect” honors.* Presenting wines that offer a fresh taste and high-quality take on classic varietals, Chloe joins the rapidly growing category of rosé wine in the U.S. Recent Nielsen data indicates marked growth in the $12+ rosé category, with sales up nearly 60 percent, as consumers look to quality and versatility of rosé wine.**
Dane comments, “I am excited to be part of this fabulous trend of enjoying rosé in the U.S. With its fine aromas, delicate flavors and striking packaging, Chloe Rosé truly epitomizes the spirit of the Chloe Wine Collection: Classic Beauty, Bottled.”
